Italian chef Tessa Esposito is whipping up a busy spring at her restaurant, Anything’s Pastable. 
In addition to cooking delectable Italian entrées, she’s preparing to judge a local cooking contest that will hopefully bring in some extra dough.

But when Ryan Beaudry, the angry ex-husband of her employee Stephanie, shows up unannounced and demanding to see his daughter, things quickly go from simmering to boiling. Stephanie vows to kill Ryan if he ever comes near their daughter again.

Later that evening, Tessa is awakened by a frantic call from Stephanie, who tells her that Ryan is lying dead in her yard. With the evidence stacked against her, Stephanie begs Tessa to care for her daughter while she’s behind bars—and to try to find the real culprit. As if Tessa doesn’t already have enough on her plate, a person from her past shows up with a shocking revelation. If Tessa can’t serve up the truth, an innocent woman could spend the rest of her life behind bars.
